Kellie Martin is an American TV, film and stage actress. Her most notable roles include Christy Huddleston (Christy) as part of the period show Christy"; Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On); and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Her other notable roles include appearing in the titular role in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Born to a department-store buyer and a kindergarten teacher Martin started her acting career when she was just seven, when her aunt who was a nanny for Michael Landon's children assisted her in landing her a role in the 1982 show 'Father Murphy'. Her professional career began when she graduated from Yale University. This led to her being offered major parts in both the television and film industries. Martin is, in addition to being an actor, is also an accomplished photographer as well as a ballet dancer. Two-time mother, she is the national spokesperson for Lupus and has been raising awareness about the condition after her sister passed away from it at just 19.
